Maruti Suzuki has revealed the first teaser of its upcoming electric SUV, the e-Vitara
Maruti Suzuki has finally revealed its brand-new teaser of the upcoming e-Vitara electric SUV. Maruti’s first electric car will make its official debut as the production-spec model at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, on 17th, January 2025.
The new e-Vitara will mark Maruti’s foray into electric segment and will help to expand company’s portfolio and compete with market giants such as Tata Motors, etc.

Design
The production-spec model takes ques from the ‘eVX Concept’ showcased in Milan, Italy. The new model offers several design upgrades from the Concept design with smoother body panel design, sharper elements, and several improvements with the production-spec model.
Platform & Powertrain
The new e-Vitara will utilise Toyota’s brand-new skateboard platform which will also be present in e-Vitara’s cousin, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV. Both manufacturers will build their electric cars and will export to global markets.
The new e-Vitara will offer a 49kWh and a large 61kWh battery pack for front and all-wheel drive setup. The car’s large battery will deliver a driving range of around 550 Km on a single charge.
India Launch & Competition
The new Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara to launch in India official by March 2025 and in European Markets by June 2025. In India, the e-SUV will compete with several electric cars such as the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, Upcoming Hyundai Creta EV, and more cars coming in 2025.
Maruti will sell its new electric SUV via its premium Neza outlets. The automaker is also working to develop a vast charging infrastructure to improve better ownership and driving experience of the car.
