Honda’s first electric scooter in India, Activa e.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HSMI) is a renowned two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The two-wheelers that this company manufactures are known for their reliability and good performance. Honda is a Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer. In India, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HSMI) is very popular for its Family scooter, Activa. This scooter has been in the Indian market for a long time and is still a favourite for customers and scooter enthusiasts.
With the advancement in electric two wheeler, the demand for electric scooters is rising in India. To deal with this upcoming demand for electric scooters many brands have launched their new electric scooter or have launched electric model of their iconic scooters. Honda is now soon going to enter and disrupt this electric scooter market. Honda is preparing to launch Activa e in India. This is going to be the electric Avtar of the Honda Activa scooter.
Stylish and modern design
The new Honda Activa e will feature a modern and functional design. This electric scooter will have an aesthetic design but with practical features. This scooter is going to take inspiration from the Activa range for its design. As per the sources, this scooter is going to have a sleek line and aerodynamic body.
Honda Activa e will come with full LED lighting, where customers will get LED headlights, LED DRLs and LED tail lights. This scooter is supposed to be robust but lightweight at the same time. Activa e is going to come with telescopic fork suspension at the front and mono-shock suspension at the rear.
Honda Activa e Will Get The Range of 102Km
As per the sources, Honda Activa e is going to be built for urban commuting. This electric scooter will feature a dual battery system. Each battery will have a capacity of 1.5 kWh. So the total power output that we can expect from this electric scooter will be of 6 kw and it will also come with 22 Nm peak torque as told by different sources.
Acitva e is expected to have a top speed of 80 kmph and may reach 0 to 60 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. Also, the dual battery system will help this scooter to provide a decent range of 102 km on a single charge.
What will be the price of this electric scooter?
Honda Activa is right now not available for purchase in the Indian scooter market. But Honda is expected to start pre-booking this electric scooter soon in January 2025. In the beginning, Honda is planning to launch this electric scooter only in certain limited cites like Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai.
Later on, Honda may expand the distribution of this electric scooter to more cities. Honda Activa e will be a direct competitor for TVS iQube, Ola S1 and Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. Honda Activa is expected to launch at as price of Rs.1.3 Lakh Rupees in India. Honda have not officially updated prices of this vehicle yet, be soon they will declare the value of the all new Activa e.
